Connie Seabourn is the daughter of the internationally renowned Indian artist Bert Seabourn. Connie says she has learned a lot from her father, but she has had to struggle for her own recongition. Connie is best known for her delicate watercolors & bright, bold serigraphs that demonstrate her interest in strong, rounded, monumental shapes. Connie’s favorite themes are a mother’s love, family unity & living in peace with the earth.ond, OK), & received her B.F.A. at the University of Oklahoma (Norman, OK) in 1980. She has worked as a commercial artist & became a full-time artist in 1980. Connie works in acrylic, watercolor, pastel & prints.

Connie has exhibited extensively & won numerous awards at Rose State College (Midwest City, OK), the Trail of Tears Art show at the Cherokee National Museum (Tahlequah, OK), the competitive show at the Five Civilized Tribes Museum (Muskogee, OK), the Heard Museum Guild Indian Fair & Market (Phoenix, AZ), the Red Earth Festival (Oklahoma City, OK) & the Inter-Tribal Indian Ceremonials (Gallup, NM).
