In 1992 Julie Kramer Cole was nominated and selected to the Colorado Institute of Art Hall of Fame. Specializing in painting art, prints and posfters about the American West, she began her career as a freelance fashion illustrator.

Listed in Who’s Who in American Art, Kramer Cole has received national acclaim by winning numerous awards for her art, prints and posters. Through marvelous and unusual composition, as well as a rich, natural artistic talent, Julie Kramer Cole is able to present the viewer with a slice of Western life that goes far beyond the expected or the ordinary. Her use of soft, clean colors lends purity to her art, prints and posters and allows the drama and emotion to shine through in a serene and thoughtful way.

Julie received her art education at Colorado State University and the Colorado Institute of Art. Before her inspiration to depict the American West she utilized her natural ability to portray anatomy by pursuing a career as a leading fashion illustrator in Denver for 15 years. To experience the evocative images of Julie Kramer Cole is to experience magic. Her poetic visions delight the eye with their striking artistic style and clean, soft color palette. Among Julie’s treasured achievements are: Since 1988 two San Dimas,CA, AICA Festival of Western Arts Awards and six Gold Medals; the Denver Western Heritage Show Gold Medal; the first woman to have three limited edition prints in one year on USMagazine’s Top 25 list; a member of the Colorado Institute of Art Hall of Fame; 2008 Peoples Choice Award and 2009 Artists Choice Award, Greeley Stampede; 2010 Master of the Media Award for pastels in Windsor, CO; 2015 Artists Choice Award, Windows to the West Show, Estes Park , CO.
