Aziz Sulaiman (Azizbek Sulaimanov) is a well known Kyrgyz artist. He was born May 20 1986 in Naiman, Uzbekistan.
He started sketching at a young age, and discovered his love for painting during his early days at school.
He graduated from the Art school of the National Academy of Arts of the Kyrgyz Republic (Kyrgyzstan).
Over the past few years, Aziz has had private views in China, Turkey, Russia and Kyrgyzstan.
Since 2005 he has been a regular participant of local and international exhibitions.
2006 – 3rd place in the Kyrgyz Fine Arts Academy professors and graduate students exhibition.
2007 – Grand Prix at the exhibition of the competition of the Academy of Arts for the paintings “Zhiyde”, “Issyk – Kul”.
2008 – Consolation prize for portrait of writer Chingiz Aitmatov at the Fine Arts Academy of the Kyrgyz Republic exhibition.
2014 – solo exhibition in Bishkek (Kyrgyz Museum of Fine Arts).
2015 – solo exhibition in Osh (Osh Regional Museum of Fine Arts).
2015 – First place at the exhibition of the UNDP competition on the topic “Peoples living at the foot of Sulaiman-Too”.
2019 – exhibition in Shanghai, China.
2021 – Bilkent art festival in Ankara, Turkey.
2022 – exhibition in Kyrgyz Embassy in Budapest, Hungary.
His artworks adorn museums and private collections.
Three of the artist’s paintings are in the Osh Regional Museum of Fine Arts.
One artist’s series is at Art gallery “Geragallery” in Athens, Greece.
The Museum of Modern art in Cyprus has his works.
Artworks of Sulyamanov are in private collections in different countries of Europe and Asia.
Aziz lives in Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan with his wife and children.
