Nita Wipper – Artists In Action Gallery

About the Artist

I began painting by taking classes at Linn Benton then began a journey of taking workshops. I started painting in acrylics, then moved to watercolor for many years.  When I started painting plein air in the desert, I found the watercolors dried too quickly.  then  I took workshops in oil painting and have stayed with that for many years.

Good Morning Oil 9 x 12…$225

Oriole on Octotillo Oil 6 x 9…$225

Petunia in pot Watercolor 30 x 15…$300

Copper Canyon Oil and wax on board 12 x 15…$225

Spring Fling Oil 12 x 12…$225

Recently, I have been exploring the medium of oil and cold wax. This is a very exciting way to paint abstract.  I am still learning and that is part of the fun, exploring a new medium and letting it develop.  I enjoy the creative process and hope others will enjoy the paintings.   Recently, my husband and I have moved to Capital Manor and are starting a new era for our lives.

For over 30 years we have spent 6 months in  Borrego Springs, CA.

Red Tulips Oil 11 x 15…$300

Turnage Brook Oil 13 x 15…$225

Twenty years ago I started the Borrego Art Institute.  It has since, with the help of  many volunteers become an important part of the community.  I am now looking forward to being part of Artists in Action.
